SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Thought I'd get some chat going with some specific songs and getting peoples opinions on it.
Synthwulf - Eternal knot. A freeform remix of Ademius - The Eternal Knot which is a strange genre that runs along the lines of gaelic tribe music I think.
For me the track is perfectly transformed into an epic piece. Many times I listened to the songs before my swimming competitions as a source of inspiration thanks to the feeling it gave me.
I bought the 12" EP from Hardbeats and hold it as one of my all time favourites. The Transition to go from the 4/4 beat to the breaks and the melody to the piano was seamless and its a track I wont forget in a rush.

I really loved the trance mix of this a few years ago. This remix is really cool, keeps the uplifting sound of the trance one but makes it harder and stompier

Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Kind of song that would give me that stupid grin on my face on the dancefloor as the build up starts. Very emotional track, and great use of breakbeat in the middle.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Hahahaha man I suffer the grin syndrome so much. I recognise a track and I stand there smiling lol
Its rare you get good music in wee Colchester

Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
At least your in the UK Olly. Try getting much Freeform in Canberra, Australia. Nomad used to put on parties here but even then it was only him and MAYBE 1 other DJ that would play Freeform, then a lil UK hardcore and the rest was Hardstyle.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Bad bad times, I'm sure it'll pick up. Cotts and Ravine are representing it quite well out there. You just need more Australian publishers and promoters of Hardcore - then in the UK we'll be complaining that we cant get Australian CD's!
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Cotts & Ravine do well but there is just no raves anymore. Powerhouse productions barely does anything, and when they do it's either focused around Hardstyle or Gabber. Maybe the scene will get a second wind soon.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Damn, what gave it the original lease of life? There was a sudden surge of Australian artists on labels like AWF if I remember correctly.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
Queensland & Adelaide are actually the hotspots for music now. Used to be Sydney, which is only 3 hours drive from Canberra, but Queensland & Adeliade are like 12+ hours (at least) so goin there for an event, especially when I got kids, is kinda hard. At least Haze's labels Executive & Recycled are still repping the south east coast.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
This is a sick track. Not heard it before. Synthwulf is fucking immense.
Re: SynthWulf - Eternal Knot
I LOVE Synthwulfs production, in particular this track. However, I do find his stuff challenging to mix with!
