Zippyshare offers free downloads/storage upto 200mb. Its pretty fast on the download speeds and no retarded waiting times like Rapidshare or the like. There's also no sign up required, and you can preview MP3's in low quality before you download. :

Themes are a great idea if you want to use them. The basic idea is everyone plays whatever they feel like, we have a good variety of guys so the show will show many forms of Freeform. I know I probably won't have themes, I tend to just play whatever I'm feeling at the time Razz

Is that 200MB per file or per account? If per file that's heaps, but if per account that will fill up VERY fast.

I'd recommend the use of mediafire or sendspace instead. (Sendspace isn't indexed in search engines, but Mediafire ranks highly)

Mediafire lets you make a user account and track how many downloads you have/delete/replace files easily etc! cheers

If mediafire works with accounts, does that mean there would be a limit to how much you could have on there? Because 1 hour shows weekly will rack up the MB quite fast Razz

Random thought #2 thats not yet been covered Smile

mp3 Quality. What sort of quality do you want the mixes to be uploaded at? I'm assuming the radio station won't want to stream full 320's?

@ Olly - The rotation would be about once every 3 months. I'll add you to the line up Smile

@ Dyz - After the details of when we start are finalized, I'll find out what the max broadcast quality is convert the submissions down for the show. Probably best to send em to me in 320 though, so I can upload the podcasts in the highest quality.

What program do you use to rip the CD? That probably defines what quality it rips at.

If your on rotation would be more like once every 3 months Razz. We have quite a few DJs involved and at a weekly show will take a while to get through everyone.

In other news, I have a feeling I will have a BIG update on the show soon. Stay tuned Smile

just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the media storage ordeal. check out www.dropbox.com . might be a good solution for everyone. you get 2GB's of storage with a free account, you can "share" folders with other users and even create links to direct downloads for everyone else. its something worth looking into.

Aye, i've been on Dropbox for years now, i've recommended that many people i have 6gb of space Razz

Problem with Dropbox is because it uploads in the back ground, it consumes no bandwidth and you get upload speeds of like 1-3kbps. :/
