Mix Mastering
Hey guys,
I know quite a few of you are producers so probably won't be too interested in this.
I tend to do alot of mastering for mixes for friends and the like. I just recently mastered my mates Dubstep mix, i obviously do all of my own too. I'll put together a sample of mastered and unmastered so you can see the difference....
Anyways - If anyones interested, i will quite happily master your mix for free! Just send me the mix in (atleast) 320 mp3 and preferably recorded to around -4db rather than 0db as stuff tends to clip when you start boosting frequencies with a parametric EQ and saturate the hell out of things

Done done and Done.
Lemme know whatcah think
I've boosted certain frequencies with a parametric EQ. Namely: 25Hz, 60Hz, 5000Hz and 11000Hz. Then compressed the set, again boosting frequencies around 60Hz and 11000Hz. Saturated the sounds and boosted the overdrive by 2db.
Finally i normalized the whole mix to 0db, just to iron out any volume inconsistencies.
If anyone has any feedback on my mastering methods, whether you like or dislike, suggestions... Please let me know!

Re: Mix Mastering
Love it man, sounds heaps better, cheers for that. Only thing it doesn't fix is my dodgy mixing ability . But I can definately notice it better, even through computer speakers. I'll have to test in a car for the real experience though
Re: Mix Mastering
had to take the Kizashi to give this one a good listen to (9 speaker + Sub stock sound system is nice ). Sounds a lot better than my original, love how you made the crossovers where I didn't quite get the levels right work well. Thanks man.
