Freeform Wikipedia
Hi everyone.
I was just looking at Wikipedia (for random reasons) and I noticed that there was no page for Freeform. So I was thinking I should put up a page. I could use help though, what does everyone think the page should say? I'd love everyones input then I'll put up a page.

Re: Freeform Wikipedia
Yes, I was wondering What characterises "Freeform" music? do you think it's 'just another offshoot' from UK Hardcore/Happy Hardcore music or does it deserve it's own right as a new 'style' of electronic Dance music? If you ask the people on the street, they'd be like, "What's Freeform? is that a new swimming style'? LOL
Re: Freeform Wikipedia
big trouble here, you cannot pinpoint a source
it may be well known that it's trancey and all that shit, but there isn't a particular source out there that can be used as a reference

Re: Freeform Wikipedia
i would say that yes it is definetly its own unique style, i mean maybe like back in the day when the only freeform being maybe was by NUnrg it really was just trancy happy hardcore, but after so many years n so many new djs making their own unique freeform, like carbon based, ephexis, alek szahala, lost soul, i think it split from uk hardcore many years back, and now days NUNRG stuff is sounding less like trance-core, more like freeform

Re: Freeform Wikipedia
Yeah, Freeform is very hard to define, hence why I asked . I just think Freeform deserves a wiki site so thought someone (or many people) may be able to come up with something.
Re: Freeform Wikipedia
While hard to define, there are elements and traits in it that work together to make a very unique type of music.
Or just put, not quite trance, not quite hardcore

Longest. Wiki. Ever!
Re: Freeform Wikipedia
I started up a Hardcore Wikia, but after making the inital site, realised that the mammoth task was too great...
http://hardcoremusic.wikia.com/wiki/HardcoreMusic_Wiki
I think that it'd be a good and helpful resource, but would have to be built from the roots up.

Re: Freeform Wikipedia
Damn Fluxx, that looks like a daunting task. It's the kind of thing you'd need heaps of people working on to get anywhere with it, would take way too many hours for just 1, or even a few people to do it.

Ooooh yes you can
DJ Eclipse - Ultraworld 5 <- The first Trancecore/Freeform tune to be recognised as Trancecore/Freeform rather than Happy Hardcore or bouncy techno

Yeah, thought I'd make it a kind of project, to do over time... but yeah..

Very basic. My insight into Freeform is limited, so if others can contribute and make it more viable, perhaps we can help expand its presence on Wikipedia
